2010 Kathryn S. Stream Award

The award honors Kathryn S. Stream, Ph.D., a founding member of the Women's Health Network, who served as vice provost for health affairs from 1998 to 2001 at Texas Woman's University-Houston, and as senior vice president of the Texas Medical Center Corporation from 2001-2008. She played a major role in shaping and nurturing the TMC Women's Health Network, which now has more than 600 members. This award was created in her honor when she retired as senior vice president of the Texas Medical Center. She was the award's first recipient.

The 2010 recipient of the Stream Award will be announced at the National Women's Health Week Luncheon jointly sponsored by the TMC WHN and The Women's Fund for Health, Education and Research on Thursday, May 13 at the Junior League. The awardee will be presented with a plaque commemorating the honor. His/her name will be affixed to a plaque on permanent display in the HAM-TMC Library. A cash donation of $1,000 will be made in the awardee's name to the non-profit organization of his/her choice.
